PLAYING PHILOSOPHY GUIDE

Equal playing time for all team members regardless of talent or ability. Plan ahead on how you will rotate players during the game.

Children should play multiple positions, including goalkeeper.

The active team roster for each team shall include 7 players (This includes Goalie position)

The primary goal of KIX and KIX Jr soccer is fun, sportsmanship and learning the game of soccer.

GOOD PRACTICES FOR THE GAME

Each team supplies one linesman (flagperson), AN ADULT!!!

Games begin at 6:45, teams should arrive to practice by 6:15

Coaches should inspect the field before the game for safety hazards, and encourage players and parents to leave the fields litter free – These are OUR community fields.

SPORTSMANSHIP

Coaches and assistants should be good roll models and are encouraged to promote this before, during and after the games.

Coaches and assistants are allowed to encourage their team from the sidelines only, which does NOT include being behind your goal, that is prohibited.

Please do not go onto the field as you will be interfering not only with the game, but with the referee.

THE AUTHORITY ON THE FIELD IS THE REFEREE

All questions involving the rules that we go by should be referred to your copy of the LAWS OF THE GAME you were given at your coaches meeting.

HILTON SPARKS SOCCER CLUB PHILOSOPHY

The Hilton Sparks soccer program was organized with the express intention to promote the game and provide a quality program where players can achieve their full soccer potential.  They should dvelop character, a sense of fairplay and sportsmanship.  This is accomplished with instruction provided by our coaching staff.

Our goal is to prepare each player to compete and find success at the Modified , Junior Varsity, Varsity, and Travel programs and possibly help them through to the college level.
